My son and I taking a "flint & steel" tea break while stump shooting Saturday. He can make fire faster than I can pour the tea water!

Now that's what life is all about! It gives you a pieceful feeling trying to absorb all God's creations.
Hey great post. My son is nine this june and my daughter seven in sept. Last month I gave my son his first bushcraft knife and started teaching him the first steps of fire starting with flint and steel. He has learned to shave dry bark, and to begin putting together a tinder bundle. He should be lighting his own (supervised) fires soon. I would like both kids to learn bushcraft along with hunting and camping. So it's good to see others doing what I'm planning to do! Thanks for the post!!!
Cost of a bow ... doesn't matter, as long as you have one to shoot
Cost of arrows ... who cares, they are meant to be shot up until broken or lost
Cost of time in the woods with a bow, arrows and your son or daughter ... priceless!
Thanks for posting that pic longbowman
