G/ Day folks thought I'd share some of the Leatherwork I've done over the last month. Total expenditure of under $30. I used 3rd grade Kangaroo hide to re-line recover and re-lace these Quivers. I made pouches an armguard and a tab out of the scraps.
please post images no wider than 640

This tooled Backquiver was a project I made 3 or 4 years ago without having the correct tools. I bought them sometime ago and finally got around to retooling it. Sometimes things are not worth doing right the first time

vERY NICE WORK!!!
Thanks fella's, Not sure about having a talent for Leather-craft, Every single one of these projects was fouled up and redone at some stage. Dogged determination to fix Boo Boo's more like it
Frank that is one of my Selfbows. I made it in the late 90's originally 45# 66" long. The timber is Brigalow, an Australian Native, compression and elasticity modulus is very high . It does make a fine Selfbow but mass lets it down as all the Brigalow bows I've made or shot have some handshock no matter the tiller or design. First hunt with it I scratched the back on a piece of barbed wire. I retillered it to 54# 63" 5 years later and it lifted a small splinter at the scratch hence the patch. I love this Bow.
wow i love your HEAVY stitching on those arm gaurds. you need to show us how to do that lol. or at least me. very nice
great work Love that one with the Lion
:scared:WOWSERS Awesome! :notworthy:
WOW
Forgot to post this one with the others,I tooled this 2 or 3 years ago and did not know how to use the Wicker tool, I've got the wicker tooling worked out now but the damage had been done. The fish is from a Tandy Belt Buckle kit. I decided to combine them as a gift to a mate, finished it just before Easter.
Tandy Belt Buckle kits are cheap as chips and if you doubt your ability to carve and tool leather are a great cheat as an inlay/ overlay in an Armguard or Quiver. Believe me folks Leather Craft is really basic, even stuff ups can be salvaged as you gain experience.
