I am jealous of all of you right now! I just talked to the bowyer about my future purchase. I have to pick woods and style and poundage now before I order the thing. Man I wish I could be out shooting it now. Not sure what to order yet but pics of your bows and descripton of the woods used would be great. I am not familiar with the wood choices at all but they are all beautiful in their own right. I need to get on this ASAP look forward to shooting with some of you in the future.

Start looking at pictures. Do a search, you will start getting Ideas. JD can make a very attractive bow. He can make really green ones too. :wavey:
Use the search function Lots of pictures here.
Being an x compound shooter you should shoot a few bows before you decide on a weight. it is very common for people making the switch to over bow themselves.
Go to some of the bowyers websites. Many of them have pics of bows and tell what the woods they used are for the various bows.
Go a little lighter than you think. JD's bows are very fast and beautifull. Good choice.
I am always jealous of these guys. Hahaha there are some really nice bow out there and it sound like you will have one to, so I am jealous of you too.
I have about 160 pics of nice bows, most of them with wood explanations I can email you if you want..
I would recommend www.rerbows.com (http://www.rerbows.com) or www.centaurarchery.com (http://www.centaurarchery.com) for many good woodcombo pics!
Also, here is an online, "basic", custom longbow designer ;)

Hope this helps, good luck with the bow :)
