Was ready to move up in bow weight so took my mid 70's,45lb bear grizzly in and traded for a 1970 bear grizzly 53lb @ 28"...what a great shooter, just started shooting recurves in the fall and really like it.Its a 56"bow instead of the 58" on my other one.Seems to really smoke an arrow..Anyone else have one of these? How do you guys like the 56"er compared to the 58"er?I know the shorter ones are'nt supposed to be as smooth as longer bows but this one seems really smooth to me.Went to Dan at Greybar trad archery in N.E, OH and he let me shoot a lot of different bows..just kept going back to the grizzlys.Did also like martin hunter and a couple customs as well but they are a little out my price range right now.
I have a '70 that's 50#@28.It's a fine little bow and a good shooter but seems to stack just a little near the end of my draw.Maybe I'm just used to my other bows which are all longer.
Never shot a 58"er but had a 62"er since I was a kid 'til it delaminated while I was trying to 'bump' the limb back straight...that bow was smooth.
Mostly use the 56"er for bowfishing/bunny hunting...it's good in tight spots.Nice little bow...glad you're enjoying yours! :archer2:
My first bow, bought it new. Shot a few deer with it but mostly use it for turkeys now. Nice little bow.
I have acquired a few Grizzlies over the last couple months and didn't even realize I was collecting them until I saw what years I had. I have several of the years from 53-70. The 70 I have is 60# but I have never shot it. Better put that on my things to do list.
I like mine, its 47# & shoots great. Mike
I have a 56" Grizzly 45@28 and a 58" Grizzly 45@28 1969 & 1971. I can't really tell a difference-I like them both. I draw 27".
