Title: searching for answers
Post by: Uncle Buck on April 08, 2010, 08:25:00 AM
I have learned that before post a question its a good idea to plug it into the search feature on this site. I usually find that it has been asked several times over the years. There is an incredible treasury of information, wisdom and storytelling on this site if I am willing to dig for it. This is like an online college of traditional archery. I would never want to discourage anyone from posting , but if you dont use the search feature you are missing out.  My hat is off to the guys who started and maitain this forum. Has anybody ever thought about a "best of Tradgang.com" book?

I usually look under a rock.  If the answer isn't there then its obviously under an even larger rock. Usually the question looses importance after a while.

Occasionally you try to search something and there are no matches. Or someone posted the same question you have but never recieved an answer. Also there are conflicting asnwers and opinions that can confuse you when you search through the member replies. Great forum great members

I have actually thought about it!
When I first joined I read through about 80 or so pages. I thought maybe it would be clever to categorize the old posts I read for easy reference later on. And also to sort out what I really enjoyed from the rest. I did not do it though..
Luckily our dedicated mods have organized the site pretty well, but for those wanting to put together a book, It'd be a great idea!

I have collected tons of pics of bows, arrows and other stuff from Tradgang, so if anyone would like, msg me and I'll send  :)

I love the search feature! I've learned alot just by doing the searches.
