nice. is there a specific model number or name for the double long arms spring quiver? My luck i'll buy the double "medium" arm spring quiver...
Thanks again for the pics and nice SK! What year is that...early 70's...that's futurewood right?
Michael
They are all one length. You adjust them up or down for long or short risers by the screw clamps.
Felix
Nice bow and quiver they bring back a lot of good hunting memories to me.
Dave
I am sorry I live that far Dave, otherwise we could share our bows and most of mine are in the 45-50# range.
Michael,I get one still new in the box and ser.# is 3590 regular.
I have two bear quivers 8arrow and a 4 arrow they only have one spring and the other end is attached with the stablizer screw in the stab hole
Those are the ones! Just like the ones I had in 68".
They are adjustable but they are not all one size. There are 3 sizes.Looking back at catalogs,Bear recomended the regular,L-640R.They later changed the catalog number to 3590R-same 8 arrow quiver.Make sure you determine if it is right or left hand, depending on which you need. The long model may also work but avoid the short model.I would try to find the regular and Bear specifically mentioned it for the Super Kodiak.
(http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx293/dazzafelix/File0011.jpg)The box says for the bow with the bow quiver bushing, youy can use it also if you have a stabilizer bushing with the included insert.Serial # 3625. "screw on quiver"
If you have the stabilizer hole you can use the above one otherwise only the double spring arm.
The 67 1/2 Super Kodiak probably doesn't have quiver bushings or a stabilizer bushing unless someone added them.
If you get the 4 arrow, lether top,it is non-adjustible and you need the long.
From the pics I've seen it has no quiver or stablizer bushings. So the 8 arrow is adjustable but not the 4 arrow?
Michael
They are not all one size. The 8 arrow came in 2 sizes, and the upper arm could be moved. The lower arm was short or long. The 4 arrow leather top came in 3 sizes and was not adjustable. Both the 4 and 8 arrow models are left/right hand specific.
This is the "quiver page" out of the 1967 Bear catalog.

That is correct,Tatersalad. The springarms are just welded to the wire frame of the 4 arrow. No adjustment.Again, there were 3 sizes,as the catalog page shows.Upper and lower arms were different lengths.
I should have mentioned also that the model number is not on the quiver itself. The difference in models is the length of the spring arms. The model number was on the box the quiver came in.If the seller doesn't have the box,he may not be able to tell you the model number. If he doesn't know which length he has,you could ask him to measure it,fully extended and compare that to your riser when you get the bow.
The ends of the spring arms should never be out on the working part of the limb. They should be inside the fadeouts. The fadeout is the pointed, top and bottom of the riser where it fades into the working part of the limb.
