Title: KME Ceramic Sharpening what lub to use
Post by: metsastaja on April 01, 2010, 03:57:00 PM
First off thanks for the fast service.  The stones arrived and look and feel terrific.

Before I go and gum up the pores I would like to know what lubricant you are recommending for these stones.  Honing Oil, kerosene, Water?

I didn't even know they had ceramic stones. When I use my ceramic crock sticks I use them dry. When they start getting dirty I use comet cleanser and water to clean. Gary

Any honing oil will work.  They come oil filled.  If you need to clean them use kerosene or any penetrating oil.

I have used just Kerosene with other synthetic stones before. Is this not recommended Jake? Thanks, David
