Been "testing" it since the first of the year. Feedback has been very positive.

Personally, shootin it on a BBO bow at 55lbs at 27" draw, 10 strands. Feels real good at the shot.

I have been shooting one for a couple months now so far it has been impressive, very soft and quiet.

Using an 8 strand astroflight flemish on one of my bows for the last month, 50#. More intitial stretch than the ultracam near the same as D 97. Very quiet for me and no change in handshock. to soon to tell about wear.

Steve "Frank Bullitt" McQueen sent me one to test that he made. WOW. I like it a lot! I haven't shot too many strings to be the best educated as to pros and cons, however I can tell you this: it increased my bow's speed, decreased the hand shock (no twang, even without any silencers) and is built VERY well - which speaks more to Steve's ability than the material per se. Not to mention he's a great guy!

I placed another one on order as soon as I tested the first one (for back-up) and that says more than any words can how I feel about the string. Top Notch.

Mr. McQueen built me a test string (Thanks Steve!)

I have had Steve build me 3 more strings since then and one for my brother.Three were 10 strand and two are 8.

I like it alot.Bow is Quiet,as vibration free as possible, quick and shoots pleasantly.

I have used it on recurves, longbows and a saluki Ibex. Its good stuff IMO.

I have been shooting 8 & 10 strand Astroflights made by RADHUNTER and love them on my bows.  Went from 14 strand D97 to an 8 strand S4 and noticed a big difference in performance.  Since switching from S4 to Astroflight I've noticed even more weakening of the arrow spines but also have observed how much quieter it is. I've found the perfect string material for my bows so probably will not waste any effort/time looking for a better material.

Steve!  Great to see you on here.  Still making strings.  I hope you give the millionth one free to whoever orders it!     :bigsmyl:

You've probably made more strings than anyone I know.

Where is the cheapest place to buy astro flight string?  I'd like to make one up, but $44 a spool is pretty steep...

I ordered it directly from Brownell.  Much better price at the 1/8th # spool weight.  I'll post up my results once I'm done!

I spoke with Brownell directly and they claim it will perform just like Ultra Cam but quieter.  That quieter, softer factor sold me.
