Congratulations to our own David Lawson, aka "Snag"! He was the winner of the PBS Amateur Division Single Arrow Competition at the 2010 Banquet this weekend. Following the competion, all of the arrows are auctioned off and I was the lucky winning bidder for Snag's arrow. David made a really nice arrow: straight, nice shaft, nock and point alignment is spot on, cresting is excellent, etc. I'm about 90% sure it has a Doug Campbell Damascus Trade Point, too. Thanks, Snag!

Oh man, now it's official. You make a nice arrow snag. Wondered what was going to happen to that damascus arrow head.

Congrats Snag,I did know nothing about this side of you.

That just blows me away.....there are so many great arrow builders I really just thought I'd send one in as kind of a "absent participant/donation"....to actually win is really beyond what I imagined.
I asked Doug Campbell if I could use one of the damascus heads that he made for me in this arrow for the contest. He was generous to say yes. Thanks Doug!
The shaft is one of the straightest grained Surewood Shafts I had.
I learned arrow building from a lot of you guys on this site. I thank the Lord for all He has given me in order to be able to do this. I thank each of you for sharing what you know and really making my life that much better. Fletcher it is an honor to have you as the recipient of my arrow.
I look forward to meeting a lot of you folks in '12 when the PBS Banquet sets up camp about 120 miles north, Portland, of where I live here in Oregon.
That's awesome!
