A few weeks ago I posted a few pics of my son Kash (who just turned 4) and I stumping MT style. Guru inquired about the fact Kash didn't have his own bow. I explained the one we had for him broke after I let him shoot it after outgrowing it (Ernie, if your reading this, that one was my fault not the bow) A few weeks later, after a few PM's exchanged with Curt/Guru, I receive a call from my son at work. He said-- Daddy the PS man (he thinks all good things come from the PS - his version of UPS- whether they come in the mail or not) gave me a package, can I open it? He was barely able to wait until I came home. The size of his smile says enough. Curt, we can't thank you enough. Please look us up if your ever in MT. Curt donated this bow and some arrows, refusing any payment, even payment for shipping, to one very happy little trad ganger. A few pics. Thanks again.

The bow had not been unpacked for 5 min before Kash shot his first arrow.

Proud of his accomplishment is an understatement

If you look close at the photos there is a flock of turkeys in the background. We had our first lessons in "hunting seasons." He didn't understand why he couldn't "go after them" now that he has a bow like dad's. It was all I could do to not let him try.
One of the best parts about this entire experience is that he is already beginning to understand part of the purpose and meaning of this bow and he is only 4. He said to he mom that he "gets" to give it to another kid someday when he (an probably his sister) outgrows it.

My oldest boy just turned 4, too. I'm getting ready to build my first bow (just gotta find the time on one of these weekends...) and afterwards am planning on figuring out how to make him one. We're looking to go on several camping trips this summer and I'd love for the both of us to go stumping together-your pics warmed my heart just thinking about sharing that time with my son.
I said it on another thread the other day... Curts one of the best :bigsmyl: Injoy!!
