Title: Great Northern bow quiver. Adjustable or not?
Post by: longbow fanatic 1 on March 25, 2010, 08:31:00 PM
I have decided to purchase a Great Northern longbow quiver and can't decide whether to buy the adjustable quiver or not. I will be using it on my Dwyer Defiant longbow. It's the only bow I hunt with and wonder if there is any reason to purchase the adjustable quiver. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I have both, but I feel that the adjustable has no downside, whereas the fixed length is not as compatible to as many bows. When you buy another bow, you may enjoy the ability to adjust the quiver.

Good point, David. I wasn't sure if the adjustable quiver would vibrate or be more susceptible to breaking. I am glad to hear those are not a concern. Thanks!

Adjustable here as well. No downside at all. Great quiver.

Love mine. I got the adjustable and have it mounted where it needs to be and brazed it together. Was that necessary,no, and I wouldn't do it again. Very good quiver and I never take it off.

I traded for the non adjustable and found it to be to short for my longbow. I converted it to an adjustable by cutting the main wire, coating in plastic and then used a piece of carbon shaft to slip the coated wire into the shaft.

The adjustable will probably be the only quiver you need for every bow you have...Dave
