Title: Uh oh....
Post by: Looper on March 24, 2010, 07:06:00 PM
I think I might have started something I'm not sure I'm ready for.  I've been unfaithful.  My heart is leaning towards another. I thought I had found my soulmate.  Now I'm not so sure.

You see, I just got my first Howard Hill longbow today.  Sixty-nine inches of class.  Oh, her caramel complexion.  Ohh, her understated elegance... Ohhh, the sleek curves of her backside... Ohhhh, the sweet thump of her release.  Ohhhhh... Whew! Let me compose myself...

What have I done? Why did I wait so long? Why!? Why!? Why!?

Will my Adcock resent me?  Should I seek an intervention?

On a side note?  Will I be thought the fool if I shoot carbons with it?

Oh yeah, love my Hills. Go ahead and use those carbons. The simplicity of the Hills is addicting.

Looper, Hill bows are loyal servants and she will shoot whatever you ask her to.  She will however, be much happier and more pleasant to live with when she is shooting wood.   :archer:

I can resist.....I can resist at least until I get a chance to shoot one of the string follow Hill style bows, then all bets are off.

Enjoy her! If she has truly captured your heart your other bows will start to become very dusty.

Follow your heart!!

God bless,Mudd

The honeymoon will last untill he shoots it a while and picks the Adcock back up and shoots it one day.The affair will be over then.May be a one night stand instead of a honeymoon.  ;)

No, he ran off with a "Ho", not a bow. And not just any Ho, a Beverly Hill Ho.

I did go out and shoot both bows today.  It takes a couple of shots to adjust to the differences in trajectory.  The Adcock really zips an arrow in comparison.

I just need to decide what I'm going to shoot out of the Hill. I'm thinking about getting some Surewoods.  I may end up shooting carbons, though.  I'm pulling it to 31" and, while that's fine for field tips, I don't want a broadhead that close to my finger.  On the full length cedars I have, the base of the points are almost touching the riser and inside my finger.

Hmm,

Man ho, regular ho, and now a bow ho?  I am a one bow man but just like my dog, she doesn't get mad when I test drive another bow for a day or two.  Far more understanding about that than any wife would be.
