Yeah guys,
I took the plunge into the deep! After some e-mails with Abe, who was very willing to guide me, I just ordered my Cari-bow Peregrine. We found out that the Peregrine was the most suitable bow for me.
This beauty will have a diamond shaped riser, with waterfall Bubinga and Ebony (Oops, just wetted my pants... )
It will have a black beavertail wrap
Limbs will be quilted Bubinga
Have to wait 4 to 6 months....
Can't wait till it's here...
Abe's fit and finish is as good as it gets. From what I hear, they perform as well as they look. Congrats on your new bow.
Great hope it is all what you hope it will be..congrats
You won't be sorry. Awsome bows
I just recently traded for a Peregrine and it is the fastest longbow I've ever shot! I wouldn't hesitate to use a 50# Peregrine to chase big hogs, elk, or moose. Mine draws 53# - 54# at my draw and shoots the same arrow my 58# recurve does. It's also very smooth drawing and quiet and an all around great bow. I think you'll be very happy with that bow.
I just chatted with Abe yesterday....He said he was shipping my Peregrine and Silverfox. I had Abe make me a matched set. Both are sapwood from waterfall bubinga and ebony with Etimoe veneers....From the pictures he sent me, they are absolutely stunning. I had him put antler tips, horn brushbuttons and antler overlay.
Counting the days now....
Ebony must be catching! I ordered a Peregrine last week and Abe said he didn't think he had enough left to make the riser... I'll wait until he gets around to my name and see what he has available. Sent him a letter a couple of days ago with the specs and just received his receipt for the deposit. I've shot several of his bows at Kalamazoo and have wanted one for several years. The performance of the bow and his attention to detail are simply top shelf.
The Manitoba Bowhunting Records Club just had a banquet on Saturday and Abe donated a bow. It was a #51 Wolverine in Etimoe and another wood I can't pronounce....absolutely beautiful. My father won it!!!Abe had a bow display there that could cause a divorce.....I'm thinking I need one of each kind!
Congrats on the purchase.....you'll be impressed when it arrives..Ryan

A matched set of Cari-bows..... jou must be a very lucky man! Did you order the pecky etimoe veneer???
Good luck with your bows and....... show us the pics!!!
You won't be sorry. Abe's craftsmanship is top shelf. Along with being a great guy. My first bow was ( is ) a snowbird, just prior to the peregrin. Since then I came across a silver fox. Both are great bows
Oh, The Anticipation :jumper:
Congratulation on your bow order. I was also at the Manitoba Bowhunters Record Club banquet on the weekend, I think Abe had every model he makes on display. They are all amazing but my favorite grip was between the Peregrin and the wolverine, excellent choice you will love it.
I have a Diamond series Featherhorn with antler tips and overlays with bamboo cores and spalted maple veneers. I love it. My next bow will be the Peregrine or Wolverine. Abe's work is second to none. Ken
I have 2 1/2 Silver Foxes--1 Peregrine---and a Wolverine to be built in a few months---all lefthanded.I like Abe's work. Alonzo.
Thank you all for your positive reactions!

WOW, I'm jealous. Beautiful wood on the limbs.
@ hybirid bowhunter:
Congrats on a beautiful bow!
Looks like your limbs are the same, but your riser is cocobolo? Mine will be diamond shaped, ebony with waterfall bubinga.
I am still not sure if I will take the etimoe veneer....
Can you show me your tips and overlays?
Looks like a beauty, how does it shoot?
Gorgeous bow.Caribow are sure a work of art.
abe is a great guy..i am waiting on another tuktu with some horn on it.love the looks and performance of a cari-bow..top shelf
The next bow i am going to get is one of Abe's Tundra wolves. Its half way between a Featherhorn and a Peregrine by far the best bow i have ever shot and top shelf workmanship. Have fun with your new cari-bow. :archer:

Riser is stripped ebony and limbs quilted bubinga. Truly, pictures doesn't give really how amazing is the craftmanship. On pics it seems to be very nice but in hands it is pure emotion.
It is a TD model and 60# @ my draw. I receive it yesterday from Abe and the bow was ready 1 month before the time Abe told me!!
Unfortunately i didn't get the time to shoot it yet but i will quicly report my feelings and more pic.
"Sir" Penner, you have overtaken my expectations.
Laurent.
@ hybridbow hunter:
I will look forward for more pics, pse try to show the thumstud too!
Keep us informed with more pics and tell us how your experiences are while shooting it.
This poor devil still has to wait half an year....
Duchman,
I sent you some pictures of both my bows side by side via e-mail. Tell me if you got them?
