I got some of these in the mail Saturday from Red Feather Archery and just opened them up. As I guy who is a big proponent of using Bheads on small game instead of blunts, I gotta tell ya these things look like they'd really work well on rabbits and Squirrels. I'm impressed so far at the design and construction so far to say the least.
I'm gonna be using them soon, but wondered how well they'd worked for others.
Terry, I've never used them but I really like the looks of them. Wish they made them in a 175gr. version. Let us know how they work for you.
They work well on feathers and fur! I dare you to break one! (seriously) My arrows break before the Talons do so I haven't been successful yet in breaking one. They fly great too. Pretty awesome small game head.
Kenneth, I think they will have a 150gr. glue on by the end of this week. Get an adaptor and you're set!
I like'um!

I want to try some of those.

Very durable, shoot where you look with the proper setup, and did I say they are durable???
Great head, and I have no doubt they will do the job when the time comes with a critter!
Can't wait for them to come in some heavier weights...
Looking forward to the 150gr. glue-on! I'll have to order a couple sets cause I've got a bunch of adapters laying around waiting for the right head. They sure look like potent medicine for small critters!!
I'm on the list for his new heavy glue-on's to make 300gr when he has them.
I saw one blast throgh plywood with authority. Then I gave it back to the owner :banghead:
What sort of squirrel or bunny do you need 300gr heads for. :scared: :scared:
I'll say this, ya'll's Yankee small game are sissies compared to what we hunt down here :biglaugh: Like the old joke, "Why do you carry a .45? Cuz they don't make a .46."
All kidding aside, I shoot 300gr heads on all my arrows. I like EFOC and it's real life benefits. Bob Morrison convinced me to try 300gr heads a few years ago and I've just kind of gotten stuck on that weight and been pleased with terminal performance of all my heads. It takes a little searching, but lots of good 300gr stuff out there. Looking forward to one more with the Talon.
Way to go Terry I ground all my Woodsmans down like you did in your "How to" tip and now your gonna switch.Your killen me...LOL
Decently priced too, may have to try these out some day.
Just caught this one. Glad the heads made it there okay for you, Terry.
These things are pretty tough and can also be sharpened to cut like a broadhead. I touch all of mine up before I hunt with them by just running them down and coarse/fine stone a few times.
You guys and gals that shoot stuff with them be sure and send us photos for our website. Thanks,
Stan
New heads are available in 150 grain glue-ons. We're running a special for Tradgang members as well. Check out this thread
