Anyone do this? I'm looking for a warm weather facial camo method that's not too hard to remove.
Thanks.
Yep, what I use year round. I always keep a couple corks, and a lighter in my pack. It's fairly easy to remove with a little soap and water.
I use it all the time or charcoal from burnt trees comes off by itself need to reapply
Any burnt carbon ash will work. I don't like the grit. Prefer beard + brim hat instead.
I keep a cork in a film cannister which can easily fit anywhere. You need a lighter as the cork will require burning often during the application process to maintain a build-up of soot. I light the end and let it burn well for a moment then blow out the flame. Use the cork like a marker to apply. I'll use it on exposed areas of the face, ears, neck, back of hands, etc. You can make hard dark lines and you can blend the edges and make differing shades. It works well to break outlines making it difficult to pick you out from the surrounds. The cannister allows you to store the cork without getting soot everywhere while carrying.
I normally can remove the majority of the cork soot using nothing more than a few baby wipes if without running water.
Best:)
I use it alot. It works great for taking the glare off your face and breaking your face with some camo too. You can't beat the price, there is no fogging up glasses like with nets and facemasks. If you anchor at your mouth there is nothing to get in the way or obstruct your feel, and soap and water on a washcloth takes it right off, as will wiping sweat off with your hands.

I use what I find on the ground since its all over where I hunt. Sometimes when back in camp it amazes me how well it covers my face. Damp cloth, a few swipes its gone. I think cork sounds like a good idea too.

When we were kids and at Halloween we used burnt cork as make-up alot . But before we applied it we used to rub noxzema cold creme on and the burnt cork washed off with no problem .
I use it everytime I go out. It works great and washes off easy
