I would like to find a take down longbow 62" and not have to change my arrows MFX 29" BOP 100g inserts with 150g broad heads. On my current bow I pull 63# @29"it is a R/D longbow 64" could you guys gives be some ideas good bows?
The arrows are MFX 340's.
Look for something with the same draw weight and depth of shelf cut. Lots of good T/D longbows being made today. Keep an eye on the classifieds, that's where I found my Pronghorn and it shoots the same arrows as a couple of my other main bows.
What Fletcher said!
Thanks!!
Ya Fletcher hit the nail I believe.
Similar design limbs as your current bow would help. How much R/D? like a hybrid? or more of a gentle curve? Try and find a bow that is similar would be my thought.
The bow I am using is like a hybrid the arrows I use are 85lb spine but I only pull 63#.
I have had and still have t/d bows and have had some real problems with the sleeve t/d system. from very notable bowyers, 2/4 of the sleeve bows I have owned have had issues of noise and clicking etc. I tried every trick in the book and ended up selling them. I now own one sleeve t/d which was a replacement for the one that never was right (bowyer made me a new one), and another with the connexion hinge that is up for sale. The connexion hinge is my favorite system for a 2 piece bow that I have seen so far. It is strong and almost impossible to get to make any noise so long as the brace height is set properly. I will never buy another t/d bow 2 piece with anything but the connexion hinge. they are too inconsistent.
