Does anyone know who makes the recurves for PSE? Is it Samick, or does PSE make them?
I had an older model PSE Blackhawk TD recurve and it was made by Samick. It was a good bow, just recently sold it so I could by a new bow.
Thanks. That is what I have, an old PSE Blackhawk with the nobs instead of the hex bolts. I wonder if I could order #65 limbs that would fit mine, as it now sports #50 lbs limbs. I'll give PSE a call. I bought this bow almost 2 decades ago, and it is a rugged, fast, accurate shooter. I always hear negative comments about Samick, but the PSE line seems to be solid preformers for the money.
The limbs for PSE are now made by Ragim in Italy.
PSE and Samick no longer have any relationship.
Personaly I'd be very carefull about buying any of PSE's latest offerings in limbs,,,they've earnt themselves a pretty poor reputation since going with Ragim.
I had two of those limbs blow on me before I gave up on PSE.
I don't think you will have much luck getting limbs for that bow. I have a Talon from the heritage collection. I tried finding limbs and they just are not made any more.
Go to Lancaster Archery's websiteand look up a Samick SHT TD bow. They look exactly like a PSE Blackhawk TD bow, and limbs are available. You could get out the dial caliper and get some dimensions of your limbs and give them a call.
As Schwarz Hound above said they are Ragim and unless you are lucky you would be better off going somewhere else.
Thanks for the information!
