My daughter wanted to show case her shooting skills so we thought we'd share a little backyard fun with a few photos and videos. She's 12 years old and has shot a little here and there over the years. She wants to shoot some 3d's this summer so she's working on her form! :knothead:
ENJOY!

Good shooting, and good job pops!

What...no video games? It would be nice to have alot more kids involved in such character building activities.
Very Nice, seeing that makes a guy feel good inside!

Very nice bro, she looks more and more like Cathy. I see where you got your form from.
Pretty neat stuff.
Hey Tim,
I taught high school for nineteen years.....it's great to see a young gal excited and enthused about archery! She's just dodged one of the big holes kids fall into. Good work Dad!!!!
Very Nice, my daughter Allison can shoot lights out too! Shawn
By the looks of things PaPa sure raised her well and her form and shooting is great.Brings back many good memories of my kids when they were youg.Enjoy them my friend as they grow to fast.
Thanks again for all the posts. She got a kick out of seeing where you folks live. The Yukon, New Zealand, Canada, MT....it's amazing how excited they get over the simple things!
I've been fortunate to teach quite a few kids how to shoot the bow and the best advice I can give is light bow weight! Light bows give folks complete control of the bow, which gives complete control of the release. If you match the bow with a good set of arrows they all shoot quick and straight.
I have the kids stand up straight and draw the bow until their rear elbow lines up with their bow hand creating a perfect line and an ideal release. From there hitting the target gets pretty easy. Young eye and hand coordination is amazing....
Tim
Awesome Tim!
You better be making room in the man cave for all her future trophies. Girls have great focus and don't seem to get as rattled as the boys!
