Bones are from this fall hen I killed in '08...

Skin from some kind of exotic snake a tg'er gave me a while back...Cobra maybe?
As you can see, ball joint left on...deer antler lip stop...leather and a few plastic beads for the lanyard...

And a snake skin arrow that's headed south as well(different destination though).
The incredible knapped head was one of a few given to me by "kniferiver" Woody Blackwell a few weeks back on the Pig-Gig.
This was one he actually considered a "factory second"! I also have a couple he gave me to hunt with....incredible talant!

Man that is absolutely amazing!!! Thanks for showing us that craftsmanship; the arrow is truly a work of art. Just think if you should loose one those arrows and it is found a few million years later, some archeologist will proclaim that all civilization from this era where all craftsman/hunters and sat by the fire forming arrows each night. LOL
Thanks for the pictures.
WOW OUTSTANDING! have you been hiding these talents from us. TD.
Tracy
Thats some treasure right there.
That arrow is truly gorgeous. :notworthy:
I hope it does Larry ;)
Someone asked earlier about glue...wood glue, I think TiteBond II is what I'm using.
Someone also asked if it was self nocked...yes

Curt, You've got a lot of talent. Have you done a how to on making those calls, because I would love to know more about them. Mark
>>>>>>---- Beautiful ----->>
Beautiful work Curt! Absolutely stunning!
The call can sure be hunted with, but the arrow? Boy, it would be hard to send that piece of art whistling through an animal. But I know that nothing tickles Woody more than to see his points used on a hunt.
Either way, a treasure for the den or a deadly weapon - that is just very very cool!
Curt,
That arrow is beautiful! At the risk of turning a hobby into a task, I for one would be willing to purchase such an arrow as a piece of art to hang in the man cave or even my office.
I don't know the demands on your time, but the patience and skill to create an arrow like this is not something all of us have. Have you considered making hand crafted arrows for income? I think arrows such as yours may qualify as a museum grade display. You could even research different cultures to create historically accurate representations of Native American arrows.
It is apparent you have a talent for building arrows. If you could put a cost (value) to an arrow like that displayed, what would you charge?
It would be worth the price just to have a model for someone that wants to build one themself!
beautiful Work as always Curt !
"My Curt" does have talent.......... one of the few guys that are always welcome in my camp.
I'm a picky SOB
Awesome stuff there bro.
  :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

The beauty of your work reveals a true love of the sport.
Thanx fellas :notworthy:
Yes, nice work Curt. That snake skin's pretty nifty!
Nice work. I never saw a wingbone with the ball left on the humerus. I really like it.
That is a piece of art, beautiful!
Damn fine work.
Very nice bro!!!
Thanx again fellas :notworthy:
Someone asked earlier about "making to sell"....at this point I don't see it...I enjoy making and giving/donating them when I can.
Something to think about though....
Man oh man........I just got back from the Post Office. To my greatest surprise and pleasure, there was a crushed box from My Guru with the wingbone call inside. It doesn't matter that the post office destroyed it, the thought that he would do something like that for me, touched me. My other friends send me boxes full of oily rags and human scat.
Thanks "My Guru" you're a special friend.
I had a knock on my door as my mailman hand carried a 36" tube to my door. I was so excited when I saw the return address from New York, I don't remember thanking the mailman for the delivery, and I remember shutting the door quickly so I could get into the package. I'll catch the mailman and apologize for my rudeness.
That arrow isn't anything as shown in the pics. It is even BETTER! Wow! What an awesome arrow that is finding a home on my wall. I just would never be able to shoot such an beautiful piece of craftsmanship.
Thank you Curt

It doesn't really matter does it? After all..... it's just a bird call.
Curt would you want to donate one to the Bowhuters of Wyoming annual banquet coming up next week. I know where my auction money would go. :bigsmyl:
My daughter was the lucky recipient of one of those arrows last year during the JLMBH. It is one of our favorite man cave treasures. I have it laying at the foot of a full body mount turkey.
Curt you are a true artisan!
You think his arrows are good, you should see his taxidermy. Details are what this guy lives for!
Biggie, next time you hunt with Curt be sure to throw out some humbling experiences for him. We don't want him getting all big headed!
I was just funnin....practicing my April Fools Jokes...The call is fine!! I'll be using it tomorrow morning!
