They were great bows very well designed with attention on details.Depending on the riser lenght the brace could go from 7" to 8".

The 56" bows brace should be 7 1/2" to 8". Last I heard, John Morris is making Cowboy hats now. Too bad, his bows are great.

Sergio,I get a good allarm system, the bows are not the most valuable staff up here.

I measured and it looks like it is a 54" any change there? I have 3 sets of limbs but my draw is 25" and these limbs are 64@27". Would my brace be a tad lower. I twist a new string and have it set at 7". string length is 52".

Michael,a 52" string is for a 58" recurve bow.The original stings were all endless so you couldn't play really much with the BH.But i guess you can read the real lenght of the bow written on the limbs.

Wish I could find my old one . . . The only one I regret selling.
I'd buy it back in a second.

That would be a nice collection of Rocky Mountain Recurves, however that picture is from one of John's last brochures showing the different bow lengths that were available. I believe I still have that brochure laying around someplace.

I would buy one in a heart beat and regret not having one made while it was still an option.  I see them now and then but almost never LH and I would like a shorty in the 56 or under length just in case someone has one collecting dust out there.  I really like the riser design - very much like a Morrison or Robertson with a smooth curve on the outside.

Have a Flemish string on my 58" with brace @ 8 3/8". Seems to work @ that brace but maybe will lower it some to see how that works like others suggest.

You'd stop making bows if you saw what they get for a hat.. :scared:
No breathing in dust and fiberglass and always dresses in ya sundays best (if ya want)

Kingstaken - that is exactly what they told me the last time I called about their bows.  "Got sick of breathing the fiberglass dust"

I also tracked down someone in Washington or Oregon that has all the forms and makes RM recurves now and then.  This was years ago so I have no idea if he is still doing it.
