Recently, I contacted Dan and ordered a new heavier Super D. At his suggestion I chose dark Zebrawood veneers and a Macassar Ebony riser. He called me back and told me that the way orders were in that my bow would be the thousandth he had made and did I mind if he provided some special features? I told him as long as someone had to suffer through it, it might as well be me. There are overlays of Ebony and Sheep horn on the face as well as the back of the riser and the same Sheep horn on the tips. Dan used a block and sandpaper to do much of the finishing by hand. She shoots like a dream and is exceptionally quiet even by Toelke standards. The bow was made to hunt with and as beautiful as it is, it is purely naturally camouflaged. I am honored to be the recipient and hope you enjoy the pictures though they don't do justice

#1000 lb bow? I hope that Wright fella shooting on my side...
beautiful bow by the way.

I forgot to mention the bow is 55 lbs. at 28", so 57 lbs. or so at my draw length. Visually she seemed quick so out of curiosity I chronographed a 655 gr. Cedar and it went 171-172 f.p.s. but she is quieter than fast, if that makes any sense.
