Title: "DRYAD PHOENIX" OPINIONS
Post by: COMBER on March 14, 2010, 02:41:00 PM
I'm a big fan of short bows and have been looking at the 54" Dryad Phoenix. Does anyone shoot this bow with a 28" draw? If so how does it perform? Do they offer it in a bow blank?

Thanks for any info,
                   Jake

Why don't you take a look at Jim's Thunderchild, it's 54". You might just want to talk with him about it or other options. I've looked at the Dryad bows but have passed on them in favor of other bows that seemed to address my hunting needs better.

I've already got a 2pc 56" Thunder Child on its way. I guess we got similar taste.
Thanks,

My 10 year old son shoots one. The handle fits his hands well, to small for me. I've shot it a bit but I only draw it to his 22" draw, afraid I'd break it. It can really flip an arrow though. Nice bow, finish not so good but it's not a very expensive bow and you get a lot of bow for the money.

I don't know of any reason to pass on a Dryad.  I have one and am getting another.  They make fine bows.

Well there is a difference between a Phoenix and Phoenix Lite.  Your 10 yr old has a Lite.

We've got quite a few guys out there shooting the Phoenix now so there should be some input.

Mike

Joekeith, I didn't pass on the Dryad for any negative reasons. The Dryad bows are nice bows, it is just that the Thunder Child is more in line with my personal hunting needs and interest. I also like the Shrew bows by Ron LaClair because they would also fit my personal hunting needs. I presently have a Beeler Tracker longbow on order that is 56" and is definitely something I am looking forward to for next season.

I am waiting on the delivery of TWO Dryad Phoenix Lites.

Don't have the least concern about their performance. Mike, Jason, and Connie produce a great product, at a great price, and they stand behind their stuff.

I have finished off four Dryad bow blanks, each one is a good, solid performer.

So, I am looking forward to my newest "shortie" longbow, and so is my brother, who will get the one I don't choose!

There is another bow blank in the order, too, but that is for another fellow who wants to try his hand at one.
