Took a drive to JD's yesterday and picked up this new little guy. It's his new 52" "Boomslang", named after a deadly little tree snake in Africa. It's 52@30 and not only does it look good but it handles very well with my 30" draw. I shot one of his prototypes back in January and ordered one on the spot. Since I'm the first archer to take delivery of one of these new little bow's this is "Boomslang #1". Cocobolo riser with Bamboo cored Michigan Osage limbs. One of the pic's below has the little guy next to my 60" Mojo Stik so you can get a good side by side comparison.

Sweet little bow.
 Nice!
I took a drive out to JD's house back in early February and placed an order for a 60" MojoStik. He showed me the new 52" model and it's sweet.
What a wicked little setup...rightly named too! :)
Nice!
Sweet looking little bow.
I have a 56" KajikaStik on order that I'm looking forward to receiving before long.
JD builds a great bow.
Very nice indeed! He was telling me about them all fall long and I've seen some prototype photos but not a finished product.
They rip an arrow from what I hear.
Josh
He built it to match my Kajika. Same woods.

Nice, just looking at the pics makes me want one!
I would love to have one of JD's bow's. Blast this current economy!! Jason
Nice looking little recurve,sweet!
That is a great looking short bow! JD builds a super shooter...love his workmanship and his grips.
Claudia
Good Deal !!!! Looks Great. Let us know how it shoots. Take care , Randy
real nice, looks like it would fit the hand well, and love the lines.
Good looking little bow!
I'm with Claudia, out of all the bows I've owned the Whisperstik grip fits my hand and feels the best to me.
Awesome Lookin! I love short Bows
Tom, the grip JD is doing on this little bow is a cross between a mini Asbel grip and a Griffin grip. Very nice. He's been working on his formula to hit weight on these little guys so he has a few in stock that he's built up for sale until he gets it down and starts taking orders for them.
looks like a great blind bow!!
A couple of pic's of the grip. The working limb is only 2" shorter than on my 60" bow because of the shorter compact riser. The feel of a 56" bow in a 52".

awesome bow! Yellow Dog isnt lying...this bow is SMOOTH. last fall when JD hunted with me we talked about the versatility of a short bow for pack trips and ground hunting. awesome little bow JD!! forgot to mention...this thing is scary fast
I was able to shoot one of these little bows yesterday. All I can say is- Its a whisperstik with all the quality, speed and fit and finish JD is famous for. Oh and deadly silent! Handles and shoots as nice as my 56" or 60" Whisperstik Recurves. It doesnt feel like a "super short" bow. Cool thing is you can sit with your butt on the ground and shoot it. No problems with limb clearance. Amazing JD can make a bow this short that shoots and feels like a much longer bow. I will have one in my stable soon.
