Title: Traditional Bowhunter Cover
Post by: wapiti792 on March 12, 2010, 09:06:00 PM
I was pleased to see the cover of this months magazine...Jack Paluh did the artwork and I have the honor of calling Jack a friend. He is one of the finest people I have ever hunted with and flings arrows out of his Roy Hall longbow with deadly accuracy. He is a dedicated traditional archer and you can tell in his artwork! That magazine is flat out special, from Gary's last picture that is pure art to now Jack's art that is now the cover, it keeps getting better...oh yeah the articles/writers aren't too shabby either  :)

Mike,
Your right Jack is a great shooter, and an even better person. I'm lucky enough to live close to Jack and get a chance to shoot 3D's with him in the summer.

Yup...made me happy to see Jack's work on the cover. I have 4 smaller framed versions of his work around the house and enjoy spending time seeing his stuff full sized at Denton Hill...if I ever get the dream home they would definitely be hanging on the walls. Rick.

Jack is an amazing artist.

I have only purchased one piece of art in my life and it was one of Jack's - "Wapiti Falls"

The TBM cover has me itching for another.

Yep...I have several of his works in my house.  My favorite by far.  I usually stop in his shop when I am hunting in PA.  Can't wait for my copy of TBM to get here.

I won that print at a NWTF auction.  It's hanging on a wall in my trophy room.

I too have always loved his art, be it the traditional bowhunting or the mountain man/indian theme.

I shot Jack's wrong-handed longbow when he was visiting and decided I needed one for the right hand of coarse...Gary when I saw your last cover it reminded me of my grandfather. I can't wait to see the magnified version at the PBS gathering!

Mr. Paluh art work is excellent. I purchased print "Last Call Of The Monarch" and have gotten a lot of enjoyment from it. Glad to see his work on the cover of TBM.  :clapper:

I for one am glad to see TBM using artwork on their covers from time to time, for a change.   What a way to showcase the talent of established as well as aspiring artists to us less talented!   I love the photos, mind you, both the still-life, as well as many of the others, but artwork is another great medium and much appreciated by many of us hunters.   Kudos to TBM....and yes a great cover by Jack.
