Title: Vapor 2000
Post by: Hoyt on March 11, 2010, 07:27:00 PM
I'm trying to find some arrows to try in a new bow and have heard from a fellow member that Vapor 2000's should perform well with my bow, but they are no longer on the market. I was wondering what other arrow..probably Gold Tip..they would be the equivalent or close to so I could buy a couple and try out before ordering a dozen from Big Jim.

Thanks for any info.

GT 35/55's should do anything a Vapor 2000 will. The Vapor 2000 says "35/45" on the shaft so it may actually be a little bit weaker than the GT.

Vapor 2000's are now called vapor 500's.  I believe Big Jim carries them and should be able to answer all your questions...give him a call.

Big Jim still has a bunch for the 2000s, and at a great price.

Thanks men..I called him and got some arrows on the way...not 2000's though..he recomenned some else have no idea what..35 something or 55 something...Can't remember..over 5 minutes ago.

You boys and men don't have any idea how comlicated this sluff has become.

Back when I started in the 50's you just got a bow from the hardware store and asked the man who knew about bows what arrow and that was it.

I have the 2000's, but after speaking with Hoyt, I felt the 3555's would serve him better. He asked for my opinion.
Hoyt- don't cut those shafts until you shoot them. It will only make them stiffer.

thanks, bigjim
