Thought it would be fun to see what your guys favorite bow woods are for looks. Would love to see pics of the bows too if you can. Just thought that this would be kinda neat and I can't see anything in the search so I hope to God that this hasn't been done yet.

So many good looking woods. In exotics, I like darker woods like ebony, zirote, and so on.
But, my absolute favorite, believe it or not, is grey action wood! I love the look of a hunting bow with grey action wood riser and that cross grain cut action wood limbs.

Bocote
Maccassar
Zircote
White Ebony
Zebra
Cocopuffs
:D
I own a Cocobolo/Ebony riser recurve with red elm limbs, which I think is beautiful.

That said I have always been a sucker for fancy maple (Quilted, Tiger stripe or Birdseye) on the limbs and in the riser. I have seen some beautiful risers with natural fancy maple contrasted with darker pau fero, wenge or ebony that really caught my eye. If I was going order a new custom I think those would be my choices.
