My 2 piece Griffin should be done in the next couple of months and John said that he prefers not to mess with beavertail.Any bowyers who are familiar with working with the tail that could take on such a project? I could do without it but dont want to.
Thanks,Izzy
Check with Big Jim...he does the beavertail grip wraps on his Big Jim bows and it looks really good.
I installed a beavertail grip on my Hill. It's not bad at all. Just don't pull the stitching as tight as you would regular leather - it will rip thru.
beavertail grip is nice.....go for it
Not a problem and by far the best grip on the market. Hate it for the beaver though.lol

Where can I purchase beaver tail for grip material?
carcajou- I sell it. Give me a call 229-344-1616
thanks,bigjim
I got mine from Abe at Cari-Bow and had my bowyer put it on my longbow grip. I love the feel of it, and the bowyer was really impressed too...first time he'd worked with it and it went on great...he thought he may get some for his own bow. Everyone I've had grip my bow wants to get some of the material for their own bows...it's good stuff :D

I have a beavertail grip on two of my long bows; a HH "Wild Boar" and a Massie "Longhorn". I love the feel and the look. Got my tails from Abe at Cari-bow. He provides great directions for putting them on. Course I've got a bud who does mine. I don't trust myself. Good luck.
BigJim's BT grips are about the best I've seen!
cant wait to try my own beaver tail grip!!
