Title: Kwikee quiver?
Post by: wisconsinteacher on March 10, 2010, 10:57:00 AM
How many use them for hunting?  Also, do you take them off your bow when you get to your spot?  I have used them on my compounds but as a newbie, I have never tried them on a recurve?  Also, can they be mounted on the bow with two sided tape so I don't have to drill holes?

I use them on all my recurves-they are all bolted on as I like quiver inserts in my bows

What size inserts do I need for a quiver mount on my bow?

I had the guys at Widow install one on my PSA X and then i sent the quiver to Cedar Ridge Leatherworks to put leather over the hood.

I may start doing this on all my bows because i like being able to pop the quiver off when i feel the need.

The bow will however shoot great with the quiver on because it can be tightened up pretty good.

I've used them on my bows that had the holes for them.  Some times I'd take'm off, other time's I'd leave'm on.  I shot the same either way.  You can't beat them for the price. 3rivers has a strap that you can attach it to your bow if you don't already have the holes, and don't want to put them in.

Use them on a couple of my recurves that already had the bushings. I know some on here knock them, but I have always found them to be a perfectly functional, cheap quiver (and I have all the high-dollar ones too). I especially like the 3-arrow model, covered one in black leather for my Hoyt GM. Definately the quickest on-off out there, hence the name I guess. Never had a problem shooting with one on either. To each his own.

Used them at one time off and on. Easy to pop-off if need be.

I use one occasionally but added a strap and carry it over my shoulder. I have a quick disconnect mounted to my treestand and the quiver goes there while in stand.

I like to shoot my bow without a quiver at the 3D shoots. So I kinda get use to shooting that way. It`s also quieter without a quiver when I shoot.Soooo,I`m trying a kwikee quiver made by Bear,(that I couldn`t sell)this year for hunting.I also like taking the bow quiver off when I get to my hunting spot. So,I think it will work out real nice, because it`s fast and easy to get the quiver off.And I also save $100+ for the quiver that I would like to try.

I was hunting up in the Cascades once for elk and found a Kwiki quiver laying in the brush full of arrows with broadheads, that quick release worked pretty good   :bigsmyl:

I've never seen anybody knock them, unless it was to indicate a general dislike for all bow quivers. I think they are a very good product, and yes, I own a lot of bow quivers.

Yes they can be mounted with the double sided tape. Look for the (red) grey foam carpet tape at yer local Wally World.

Can't go wrong with a Kwikee. Very versatile, I've used them since 1979. I leave it attached to my bow with the bracket at a slight angle so when the arrows are in the quiver they are not straight down they are slightly angled toward you. I just buy the inserts from Three Rivers or who ever you can get them from, very easy to understand instructions to install yourself.

A Kwikee bracket will bolt on to this and works really good.

I don't know exactly when they came out but I have been using them for about35 years. I have had the bracket mounted to some bows and sometimes I put a strap on it and carry it over my shoulder. I have a bracket mounted on all my climbers an loc-ons to keep it handy once on stand as I prefer to shoot without a quiver on my bow. I have several other quivers as well but it is a very functional quiver as well as cheap.
