Im trying to track down a good sturdy rack for the inside back window of my truck. Id like it to hold 2 bows. Any advice?
I would think a gun rack should work just fine.
I always thought a window mount would beat up the bow and was hard on the edges of the limbs.Plus you would need a shorter bow, a 60" up will take a wide cab. Just some thoughts to mull over
add pipe insulation to the gun rack the soft rubber type not the foam type, or use strips of suede leather and wrap the holds on the gun rack this will pad the rack and hold the bow snug if you apply enough material.
I use the foam floaties noodles and slide elastic cord through them after I cut them the width of the interior of my truck ceiling.then I tie clips to the elastic cord and run it across the oh $hit bars or the coat hooks and slide the bow on it with the string toward the ground. It works well and I use small velcro straps to keep it from sliding.
This is what I use. Works pretty good but on longer bows you might have to unstrap one side to load the bows and then strap it back to the seat when you have them in it.

Don't let the sun heat them up, or they will delaminate.
