I went out today and collected these. It is hill cane(Arundineria appalachiana). I am fortunate that this native cane grows along my driveway and the stream that runs through our property. Today I got about 160 culms. I collected all "ripe" culms so some will be too small, some immature and some will have worm holes and not appropriate for arrows. I cut about 30 more yesterday.
Now, these will be separated into bundles of about 15 similar sized shoots, wrapped and set aside for a month or two for drying.

Roy, it will be a while before I'll be ready to trade if I have any cane left. I have folks I have already promised but if I have any left over we will talk. I should be able to get at least this much more from my honey hole.
