I've been shooting grizzlystik alaskans almost since they came out. Most of my arrows are the ones without any writing/logo on them and they shoot great. I bought some of the newer one and can't seem to get them to fly as well. Anyone else with this experience? Or better yet, anyone out there with the some original shafts (I believe made with St. Croix) they'd be interested in selling?
Thanks.
I've got some of the older ones that shoot very well. I just picked up some newer ones and they don't shoot the same. Funny I shot wood for a while and never had that much of a difference. I'm shooting Gold Tips now and I'm happy with them.
Old ones made in America, new ones made in China. Not to hard to figure out why the new ones don't fly well. Lousy quality control leads to inconsistency in the product.
I was looking at buying a bunch of them and learned on this site the place they were made changed. Glad I decided to wait. I have not heard anything good about the chinese made "stiks"
I had the same experience. I bought six when they first hit the scene and they flew great. I got more later, that have the writing on the shaft and they wont fly worth a darn.
I bought some a few months ago for the first time and just sold them for half of what I paid. 6 of them had never been shot or cut. Expensive lesson.
How can you tell the difference?
The old ones don't have the gold grizzlystik logo and writing on them.
I'm down to my last three of the originals. Always on the watch for more.
