I know many blinds are tall enough to stand up in, but which ones have a window that is the correct height to shoot from the standing position? My current blind I can stand up in, but the windows are too low and require sitting. My accuracy really suffers when I shoot from a sitting postion. Thanks in advance.
Try making your own out of wire and hession and branches.
Afraid I have no idea what hession is. :) Does that mean a blind of my description does not exist?
I have not heard of one for shooting standing before. May be lots of them but I never saw one.
Hessian is a very coarse, brown material. It is sold at gardening / hardware shops, I think. I wonder if it has a different name in the USA? So, you blokes obviously don't have the saying, "If I was any tougher, I'd be wearing hessian undies!"
Okay, I just did a search on that infallible guide, Wikipedia, and discovered I'd spelt it incorrectly in my first post. According to Wikipedia, you call it burlap in the USA.
I have never heard of one either but would love to find one. Sounds like we should start designing.

True...not even much of a design challenge. If the blind is already tall enough to stand up in all that is required is an opening that is the correct height to shoot through. ;)
the closest one I've found was an ameristep dominator blind, I shoot my 62" longbow in it, and its half the price of a double bull, but unless your a short person I don't think any one can shoot standing up in it.
I did see one I think it was aground max that hada flap in the top looked like you could shoot standing up but you and/or your bow would be sticking out the top.
My advice if you want to shoot out of a blind, would be to practice from a bucket or stool of your choice.
Good Luck.
What about the Penthouse blind? I borrowed one one time for hunting with my kids. It was me and all three of my kids in the blind at one time! My oldest one, daughter, was the only one with a weapon though. We still had plenty of room, even had a young buck come in, but it got too late before he came in range for her to get off a shot. Not sure if you could shoot standing up but it was the biggest blind I had ever seen.
I have shot, standing in a Penthouse blind. I believe that they are 84" tall in the center. So, depending on how tall you are and the bow length, you could possibly shoot standing up.

Sounds like you need to practice shooting from a sitting position.
A blind tall enough to shoot standing up would probably have to be 8' tall. Your other option would be to dig a 2' hole and set the blind over it.... :archer:
Or . . try shooting from a kneeling position. That is very similar to standing, but obviously lowers you. I agree with Ron, for a blind to allow a standing shot it would need to be 8' tall or even better. AND it would have to be made for standing cause then the windows would be either huge ot too tall for shooting seated.

You are correct, Ron...going to have to practice. I haven't been shooting trad for very long and was amazed/shocked by how poorly I shot from a sitting position. With wheelies, it makes no difference. Any tips that would help in making the adjustment to a sitting position? Thanks.
I shoot better off of one, or both knees. When sitting on a stool, I just slide off to my knees instead of shooting sitting.
A Yukon Tracks Enforcer or Enforcer Elite are 80 inches tall, I am 5.9", can stand up and shoot a 64" bow with room to spare, perfect height to stand and shoot out the window, and a good price and bargain too.
I have a penthouse. I'm 6'2" and there is NO WAY I could shoot standing up with a bow. Maybe...I mean maaayyybe with a rifle..but why would I? The windows on that blind are just the right height for a kneeling shot. The blind is big and heavy, but there is enough room to move around with a 60" bow.
