Need opinions on this one. I have a woodgrain Trad Heavy. This w. grain one shoots lights out with a variety of point weight.I'd prefer the black ones, just don't care for the wood finish. Any difference in these shafts other than finish? Don't want to order them and they be different. :campfire:
I found out that the wood grain ones have a little stiffer spine due to the finish.
I have both the black and the woodgrain AD Trads, they both shoot great for me.The woodgrain ones add about another 30 grs. of weight,I like the look of woodgrain carbon arrows.
Thanks, but what I'm wanting to know is if I get the black one's and cut 'em the same as the wood one will it shoot as good? Just too picky I guess, I just like black arrows.
I've got both....both shoot the same for me no matter what bow, bow weight, or point weight.
What are your bow specs?
64" A@H acs 56 @ 30.5" . The wood one I have is cut 31.25" standard insert and that sucker shoots 125gr. BH's 150's, 175's and 200's. Starts showing just a touch weak with the 200's.
up for more

I shoot the black AD's. When I tried the wood finish shafts, I found they spined way stiffer compared to the plain black.
Sorry Hockey7, you will find on average about 1-2# spine difference due to the decal of wood grain , not enough to make much of a difference.
Sometimes you can find that in just the difference of one batch of ADs and the next shipment .
I have handled a few thousand of these and found this to be consistent.
