Title: Whats better?
Post by: 50@25 on March 06, 2010, 05:31:00 PM
Maybe this has been discussed several times but...

Whats better for hunting a whitetail deer...

Shooting a bow with a heavier arrow, thatl give you 150 ft/s?

OR

Shooting a bow with a lighter arrow thatl give you 166 ft/s?

will appreciate your opinions..
Thanks..

sharpen your broadheads and shoot the arrow "you" feel most confident with. They will both kill quickly..

been hitting animals far back...i believe that they are moving before arrows hits them....been using heavy arrows..shots have been made at 15-20 yards..

Jesus,  I am gonna guess that the difference in speeds that you posted are not gonna make much difference in terms of the deer moving and causing a hit further back than you want.

Have you looked at Terrys post at the top regarding aiming location ?  I am gonna guess that a lot of us aim farther back than we need to or even should, which makes a far back hit even more likely.
