OK, it is not officially called the Green Ghost, I was just trying to be clever.
This is the new limited edition green glass that Jerry is offering on the entire line of Great Northern bows. It looks really nice. I am not normally a recurve shooter, but with that straight grip and narrow limbs it had enough in common with a longbow for me to be curious. I really like it! Smooth, fast and quiet. 60", 55# @ 28". I love the simple, uncluttered beauty of Great Northern bows.

Oh yea, that is an ash core and cocobolo dymondwood. Nice combo.
what an awesome lookin bow. very nice, and yes i do agree with you gn bows do not have a cluttered look about them very clean and simple. love the green glass, reminds me of the early bear bows regards ruddy
Oh, we finally have pics. What a beauty.
Happens to be my favorite bow and the correct draw weight. So when you decide to let loose, I'd appreciate an advanced warning.
And that quiver full of arrows. WOW!!!
And that old tree with more toes than I have fingers!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thought I was back in Fengold Forest.
Awesome bow!!!
Very nice.
My first custom bow I bought myself was a great Northern 68" osage longbow. You are right they are simple effective creations, always reliable and durable.
That green glass curve is a sweet creation, how do you like the shooting?
Heck Ya! I'm really liking that! :D Congrats on your new toy, she's a beauty. :clapper:
Great Northern caught my eye in Kalamazoo. Your bow confirms I wasn't in the wrong then. That is one set up.
The green glass reminds me of days gone bye. I would say you did well. Enjoy
That's a cool looking bow! Thanks for sharing!
God bless,Mudd
I love the way it shoots. Not too much pre-load, very, very smooth and very quiet. It is light in the hand and quite stable. it is the only recurve I have ever liked.
Ghost Dog,
The finest fit bow I've ever owned was a previously owned GN Ghost, 60" 54@28 Osage On Osage with the same grip.
Felt like an extension of my arm. Wished I had it back.
I think you have a keeper.
Yea, its' a keeper, as are my two GN Bushbows and their Traditional longbow. None better.
Nice! I love the green glass..
Shot one in Comptons last year and was very impressed. You have green grass there to match the bow. Must be nice, new bow and nice weather. LOL
very nice bow as well as the quiver and arrows. have fun with it.
Really pretty...agree with everyone else, love that green glass.
Real nice, didnt think i would like the Green glass, but gotta say... its a 10 on the cool factor.
Have a Ghost coming myself, not as fancy as yours though!
That green glass Jerry has is awesome. He had a Bushbow made with it at Kzoo that was a beauty. I was tempted to go with it on the Jacknife Bushbow I recently ordered but stuck with my favorite GN combo of Osage and Shedua. Can't go wrong with a Ghost! I love those Great Northerns!!
Thats a beautiful bow! I love it.
I love green glass. Sharp looking bow. Congrats!
Great looking bow and fine photos as usual GD. I admired that glass at Kalamazoo. He and Steve Turay of Northern Mist went together on the special order of Gordons glass. It has a real retro look and both bowyers make great sticks.
Yep, thats a Dandy bow! Where do ya get a quiver like that?
Eric
Great looking bow!!!! I have a super ghost, and it is one of the smoothest drawing bows I have ever shot. Congratulations
The quiver is from Art Vincent, Cedar Ridge Leathers. It is my favorite.
Thats an awesome looking bow the green glass really stands out.Congrats

Very nice bow Bob. Perfect weight too. The quiver is sweet too. Let me know if you decide you don't like it anymore....
Hey Mac! Too funny. Those were the days.
Hi Bob! You are right my friend, I still have some of those bows on my rack....something tells me that this one won't make the long trip to Virginia. That is one nice recurve!
I'd love a Super Ghost in green!
Great look of days gone bye! I too have a fleet of GN' erns. Wouldn't trade any of them!
Very nice, makes me dream of my next bow.
Bob,
What a nice looking bow! Such simple lines, great workmanship, and the green glass looks beautiful.
That is one of the most beautiful recurves I've ever seen! I have to admit though, when I read about this green glass I was skeptical...not anymore! :)
Jason,
I'm glad you brought this back up top.
I fell in love with it the minute I saw it.
I'm not much on the all green versions that I've seen, but this one is destined to be a Classic.
Vintage45 here on this site got one of the Greenies at the NYB dinner auction, its a Bush Bow Green glass, green riser with "Old School" on the upper limb. That bow is just beautiful!!!!!
Nice bow! Like the simplicity.
very very cool ...reminds me of some older bows i used to own . congrats mate !
This must be one Bowferd does not like.
It is the First Super Ghost with the green and the cores are harvested from G.N. land Hickory.

I am still undecided on the contrasting brown and green. I am sure it will grow on me.
I do like mine.
