Happy B-Day.. Im re-reading his field notes again. Cant get enough of reading about month and a half long hunts. What an increadible life he lead.

It's good to see that folks are remembering a very important man when it comes to archery. He was also known as a good person in addition to being a heck of an archer and bow hunter.
Happy remembrances of your birth Mr. Fred Bear!
God bless,Mudd
PS I've spent a good deal of time today shooting a Bear Super Mag so I'll think of Mr. Bear with each arrow.
I had the honor of knowing him Roy, and he definitely was a fine man.
I have some dim memories of him on an American Sportsman, I was probably 9 or 10, or I have melded some memories. But I owe him a huge debt of thanks for bringing archery back to a level that allowed me to get hooked while in college.
Back ..just before Fred died I was lucky enought to sit down with him ..one on one for just over a hour!!! What a wonderful Guy. Thanks Fred...miss ya !!!
Happy Birthday in rememberance of Fred Bear.
Will be thinking of him while my wife and I practice shooting with a '65 Cub and '59 Grizzly this evening.
Happy Birthday Fred. I tip my hat to you and your (and my) birthplace everytime I drive through Waynesboro. It was an honor to shake your hand in Harrisburg and although I was just a goofy teenager at the time, I will fondly take the memory of that meeting to my grave. Thank you for tolerating (and answering what must have been way too many questions from) that goofy teenager. Dad thought it was a pretty special moment as well. I can only hope that the two of you have had a chance to swap hunting stories.
Rest in Peace.
Mr. Bear did so much for our sport. It is correct that we should remember him.
Rest in Peace.
Happy Birthday PAPA BEAR!!!!!! Thanks brother!
I just remembered it was his birthday today!! Even stranger is I got a 68 Grizzly in the mail today too, LOL!
Happy Birthday Fred Bear! todd
