think about trying the 150/ 158gr. heads. any experience with them? i want a good 150gr. 2 blade with a wide cut.
I have often wondered the same thing in my experience vented heads seem to make a little extra whistle compared to non vented. I assume you are asking about the 1 9/16 sasquatch. I too would like to get some of you more experienced info on them.
If you do a search (top of page) you'll find a bunch of info
Used them for a long time, great heads.
Great heads for deer for sure...and I've used the 4 blades with success for sure...killed my biggest buck with a Sasquatch 4 blade.
Mark Horne has killed a bunch of elk with the Sasquatch 4 blades also.
I don't like them for hog hunting....fine for most hogs, but a little to wide for the bigger hogs IMO.
i mainly deer and turkey hunt, the hogs i do kill are usually under 180#. my bow is 48# at my draw. im thinking the 150grs( bleeders out).
also do are the screw ins one piece or are they mounted on an adapter?
I would not use a Saquatch even without bleeders from a 48# bow for hogs.
I've killed 150# hogs with nearly 2 inch shields...I think the Saquatch is too wide too fast for that set up.
Check the hog shot placement thread stickied to the top and click on the video link and you decide.
i see. well i have a backup for hogs. now my question is, why does the new 3rivers catalog list a sasquatch 150/158 screw in but i cant locate them on the website or on hornes site??
www.hornesarchery.com (http://www.hornesarchery.com) On the left side of the page click on accessories. It will bring up a second page that has broadheads listed on it. Then click on broadheads. Hope this helps.
