Easton's arrow selection charts can be mind twisting to some archers. I remember prior to the testing that I did for J.Easton several years ago,some sizes that I did get to fly good with 5 inch size feathers. I found that for a 58 to 62 pound bow they recommended a 2117 at 28inches.NO WAY!(later 6 inch feathers changed everything) A 2016 cut 29inches,125grain point shot great. 2018 same set up shot good out of 65LB. bows, and the 2117 shot fine with same set up with bows around 70lbs. the 2114 size shot pretty good out of 60LB bows, but was a little sensitive for my liking. 2020 XX75 was the toughest arrow I ever shot. I once shot the same arrow in testing completely thru a 55 gallon oil drum five times before it finally bent. Jerry Hill.............
It seemed like everyone that I knew who hunted in the early 70's shot the 2020. It had an almost cult like following.
I sure like the thicker wall. I loved the 2219 and 2419. Never shoot the 2020 must have been tough.
You mentioned the 2114 from 60# bows. A few years ago, I picked up a mid 40's weight bow and the seller said the 2114 was the perfect arrow. I tried it and loved it. Cut to 29" with 125 gr. head, I now use it on most bows around 45#. Granted, the 1916 is usually favored.
