I was at the shoot this weekend at Tannehill and a guy i shot with was shooting a Black Swann 1 piece longbow and i couldnt believe how fast and silent that bow was.
I noticed on there website they have a 3 piece longbow and also a 3 piece hybrid longbow.
I would like to hear some feed back about these bows because i was really impressed with the performance of this guys bow he was shooting.
Thanks
Sent you a PM Joe.
I came by a one piece recently, and while it isn't the fsatest bow I've owned, it is right up there. It is by far the most stable bow I've ever shot. I don't think you could torque this bow offline with a crowbar.
I wish it were five pounds heavier, but the one I have is probably sufficient for moose!
I have a 3 peice hybrid that is the fastest, quietest bow I have ever shot. I want to get my hands on a one-peice classic longbow. A d-bow that is faster than most hybrids with less noise is a good thing.
Just got off the phone with david (vermonster13) and he was telling me that they were starting to make wood risers.
I see a 3 piece hybrid wood riser longbow with some skins on the limbs comming to me in the near future.
I was shocked at how fast this guys bow was slinging arrows, amazing.
Just curious joe, what weight were the arrows, what weight was the bow, and how fast were they going? Any idea?
Lenny the bow was a 1 piece 45@28 and im not sure of the arrows.
I had a longbow hybrd and it was fast and I won a couple of 3ds with it but it never felt right in the grip, so I sold it to a guy in Alaska who killed a Moose with it a couple of years ago. Great bows just did not fit me.
Lenny. Only 2 bows Blacky tested in TBM were faster than the black swan. The predator 193 with finger release and the ACS 192 with finger release. The Black Swan came in at 191.
This was the "old" model with wood core, the new one with foam should be a bit faster!
They are one of the fastest. Quiet too. It's just a matter if they fit you or not.
Any pics of the new 3 piece hybrid wood riser longbow ?
Thanks
Joe, we got the boy a beautiful 3 piece 40# hybrid from one of the above kind posters and within a week he was shooting the lights out and wanting to go with 50# limbs. I thought this was a very bad idea so started playing with his Swan; it is an amazing bow, pulls like a 35# but punches like a 45#, quite and totally dead in the hand.
Anyone want to swap his 40# limbs for 50# or even bows?
