I just bought a dozen 2219's orange easton arrows that are 31" long. What pound bow are they made for? they seem very stiff, does anyone use these? If so what type of set up are you shooting?
I shot some out of a 63lb widow with 225 grain tips. I shot 29 inch arrows. They where heavy and tough- blew thru everything.
SL
If you post the weight of the point you will be using I will check my chart.
The recipies in my chart for that arrow length, without knowing the weight of the point, say to use with a bow in the 50# to 65# range using a point from 75 grns to 150grns. Sorry I don't have any recipies for a 225grn tip.
I shot 2219's out of a 66# Silvertip. 31" w/ 125 gr tips.
They spine about #95, they will work out of bows #60 and up if cut to or past center, if you leave them long. I used to shoot them out of my recuves, that is one tough arrow! 400g @ 29"

They rock for heavy 65 plus bows depending on cut length. Stick a 250-300 grain head on them and they are a freight train. H
I shoot them cut to 28.5 inches with my draw of 27 with 160 grain Snuffers on them, three fletch right wing out of my 65 lb Widow and they fly perfectly. As stated above by SL, they blow through everything.
I shoot them cut to 29.5 out of a 62# Zipper with 145gr heads.........My Zipper likes the heavy stiff shafts.
I don't shoot anything over 55#. They came with some archery stuff I bought this weekend and it was a buy it all or nothing deal. I'll probably sell them to some who needs them, but was interested in what people where using to shoot these with. If somebody is inerested let me know or I'll list them for sale sometime when I get to it. Thanks for the input everyone.
I better take them off your hands man.....
Only kidding around, I don't shoot anything over 57#
I shoot a 2219 at 31 inches with 200 gr out fron out of a 64# at 30 inch recurve. They are deadly and heavy. I am using them as my go-to arrow this fall for elk hunting.
great shaft...I used to shoot them full length out of 76 and 84# bows. rick.
I cut mine up and used them for 2" footing on the front of my carbons and a 3/4" footing on my nock end. It brought my total weight up and added more FOC. It made my carbons shoot much better! I don't think this is what you meant but it is what I used mine for.
Just to let you know someone has bought these from me already. They must be good. I had two offers wright away.
I am shooting 2219's out of a My 63# Chek-Mate (Hunter I)recurve. The arrows are 29" with 225gr Ace 2 bladers on the front end. They do hit hard.
Damn..... I woulda bought em.... I have 5doz in storage and can always use more.....I have em set for a 66# LB
This is been my standard alu arrow, but in XX78 a little tougher alu.My bows are around 65# @29" and arrow is 29 1/4 long with 145-160 point. For my Widows around 65# I need 2317.
I shoot them out of my Border. 50# @ 28" i pull it 31" so about 59#. Arrow is 32" 150 grain tip, They hit very hard.
I use them out of both of my preditors. 55#&57#. They fly great out of both with 140gr stingers. They are a bit on the heavy side so it makes my bows quiet.
oh yea, they are cut 29.5" and have 5.5" fletchings.
