Has anyone used these? How long do they normally last? I just saw these, I really like the copperhead skins. Any thoughts about the limbstations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I have them on 3 of my bows and they have held up well over the past year they've been on. All bows have been used in the field, under rugged conditions. There is some slight turning or chipping at minor points along edges; otherwise, they are intact and I feel no need to change them. I also believe they protect the finish on my limbs. They look good to me, though they lack the depth real skins. Not bad considering the price difference.
I just installed the Copperhead limbstatons on my ACS long bow! Easy to install and came out great following instruction on the website. Just wish the limbs on my longbow were wider to show off the great copperhead patten! Can't have eveything as they say! :goldtooth:
I still have mine on my hunting bow. It's been on there for over a year now! To me it still looks good as new!
I've had some on one bow for about 3 yrs. now. Put some on another bow about a month ago, and have another pair laying here waiting to be put on my Grandaughter's bow.
No problems....they look good and protect the limbs from minor scuffs and scratches. I'm a beleiver.
Thanks everybody I think I will have to get some... does anybody have any pictures?
Here you go!

Thanks for the kind comments. The limbsations are pretty cool. I am adding black also. Black should be perfect for turkey hunting out of a blind.
Scott
S2,
which snake pattern is that?
Onestringer,I think black is a great idea.I had thought about suggesting it.I have a maple lam bow I would like to use in the antelope blind. That would be perfect.
Stupid Question however I'm also in the process of ordering some covers for some G3 limbs... do these reflect in the sunshine or are they fairly dull in finish? I'm asking as I know there are or were, two different brands and one was dull and the other fairly shiney... I want to insure I get the "dull ones",,, also is simulated "Bull Snake" an option?
Thanks'

I second the dull or glossy question please

If I'm not mistaken, it's the praire rattler. I would double check with Scott though. He sent me a pair to try, I didn't ask which skins they were. They are great people to deal with. I just ordered a bunch of arrow wraps from them. I need to order new skins for my PCH!
I have some of the Copperheads and other patterns, also have many of the arrow wraps as well. Awesome TG Sponsor with top customer service!

Thats a Texas Bull Snake. All the limbsations come with a non gloss matte finish. They are no shinyer than a normal set of limbs.
Scott
Thanks!
the limbsations are great, put some on my recurve, and they turned out great! easy to use, and a great product overall. I also cant say enough nice stuff about the folks at onestringer. they have 5 star service, unmatched anywere else. also they make some awesome crestwraps.   :notworthy:
I finally got some pics took and uploaded. Here's my SideWinder with rattlesnake Limbsations.

These look like they'll be just the ticket to dress up my new bow. It's going to have a black glass back and I'd like to spruce it up a tad.
those look great thanks for posting... I guess i will have to get some
Anybody got some pics of these on longbows? I'd like to see how the different patterns look on the thinner limbs.
Joekeith...What do you have wrapped around at the point where the skins end?? Real nice looking!! I've have a Gen III due in April..can't wait first new bow.
Zradix, I just used some waxed string, the stuff used for stitching leather. It isn't necessary, I just thought it matched the look of a horsebow style bow......You oughtta be real happy when ya finally get the bow. They really zing an arrow.
I too am wanting some OneStringers "snake skins" for my curve. It is a Bear 71 Grizzly that is brown in the riser.
The problem is I don't know what to do at the middle where the stations would meet. Would I have to put a leather grip on it to hide the seam where they come together or one of the roll on rubber grip things?
I'd like to hear how you all have done it on your 1 piece curves that you have "skins" or limbstations on. If you have pics, that would be AWESOME as I'd like to see what the end result looks like.
Nalajr
Thanks Joe. Looks good!
Nala....you can just match up the pattern and butt them up together. My Stalker is like that. I'll try and get some pics of it today......
Can they be put on the belly side of the limbs as well?
Yep....I've got them on both sides of my Stalker.
Thanks Joekieth...happy day!
I just put some on an old Bear Polar for my cousin. He picked up the bow at Kalamazoo and wanted something to cover the white fiberglass. I think they came out nice, but were a little harder to trim up then I thought. The blade got sticky and caught in a few places that made the cuts not 100% straight. Look very nice, though...Mike

Thought I'd add a pic of the bow before limbsations.

OH WOW!!!
Now THAT is one sweet looking setup!! "I think they came out nice." Are you kiddin' me? That is AWESOME! Those Copperhead limbstations are really striking.
I went to Onestringers page and checked out his selection of Limbstations and thought that the Copperhead stations would probably work well on my Grizzly. I didn't know they were that BRIGHT. Not that it's a bad thing, I think they look great. I just don't know how well it would look on my BROWN riser Grizzly.
I'm trying to think of a shade of brown I can compare it to so you all would have a better idea of what I am talking about, but I can't think of anything that really HITS it, if ya know what I mean.
Do you all think that Copperhead would look good on my Brown Grizzly?
Anymore pics of 1 piece curves with Limbstations or skins on them? C'mon and post 'em.
Nalajr
Thanks for the kind words. I'll post a pic of his riser. Not sure what it is, maybe bubinga? I think it looks good on this riser. Can you post a pic of your riser?

I'll try tomorrow. Mine is darker than the one you just posted.
I hope I'm not in trouble for HiJacking this thread. If so, I apologize for my rudeness.

Here are pics of my Bear Grizzly Riser.....

And another for your viewing "pleasure"... :saywhat:

What color limbstation do you think would work well on this riser? Do you think the Copperhead station pictured above would work on this riser?
Thanks for the help.
Nalajr
I was looking at your bow and onestringer's site and I think maybe the canebrakes or prairie rattler would look better than the copperheads with your riser wood. Hopefully someone with more snakeskin experience will chime in for you...Mike
