I shoot split finger and most of my other bows have about +1/8" tiller. SInce this is a familiar to me it is where I would like to start.
I am trying to setup a Morrison ILF Mini-14 with
Short W&W INNO Power limbs.
I have found that the sweet spot for me with these limbs on this riser seems to be about 2 full turn out from having the limbs bottomed.
When the limbs are bottomed they show even tiller.
When backed out 2 turns, you guessed it .... even tiller.
Now for the questions:
Should I tiller from even to +1/8" by adjusting both limbs (i.e. top limb out and bottom in) or change tiller by only adjusting one limb?
If one limb (I doubt this is the prefered method)what are the advantages over adjusting both limbs?
How much difference should there be in the limb bolts to achieve +1/8"? (i.e. 1/2 turn or 1 full turn, ect.....)
Thanks,
Freeze

You might want to try it even- my ilf shoots best set even. I shoot split also.

I second SL's suggestion. I also shoot split finger, but my Trad Tech Pinnacle with long bow limbs seems to prefer even tiller. Bob Wilson

since you've already found the "sweetspot", I'd suggest turning each both a quarter. You should remain very close to it. Shouldn't take much to find it again from there.
Oh... and congratulations, most folks never find it. :^)

One thing I learned about tiller when I shot a DAS. I tillered the bow to sound, meaning I kept ajusting the tiller till the bow was at it's quitest point. I found there was a big difference in sound when the bow was tillered to the way I shot it. For me it was at even tiller... I hope this makes sence....

Thanks for the replies.
I will try even tiller and see how that feels.
I was also concerned that it took about 3/4 (about 3/8 turn both top and bottom) of a turn dirrerence between the two limb bolts to achieve +1/8" but that seems correct since Jim suggested 1/4 of a turn on each.
Thanks again,
