currently using a 1916 alum shaft.60in bob lee 42lbs at my 26in draw 125gr tip.i would like to know what the equivilentwood shaft . shaft must be 27- 28in long
Wood is good! Buy full length shafts 45-50 lb spine and start cutting the shaft 1/2 inch at a time until you find the right combo with your draw length and weight.

Chub, I shoot a similar set-up, and I suggest you use 11/32" dia. shafts, and decide what field point weight you want to use before doing any cutting. You can get field points from 100 gr. up to 190 gr. so you can get a good match for your broadheads. Like Al Natural said, buy full length shafts, fletch some up, leave some bare shaft and start tuning. I don't have the link, but someone here on TG will post it that explains how by "tuning your arrow to your bow" you can move your bareshaft groups around until they match your fletched groups. You can do it by cutting arrow length to make "stiffer", moving brace height, adjusting side plate thickness, etc... For now get the 45# - 50#, put some points and fletch on them and start flinging! I see you are a carpenter, so you are already ahead of me in understanding how to work with wood. I sure enjoy making, tuning and shooting woodies, and I bet you will too! Good luck
