For anyone familiar with these grips, are they the same?
I believe the current Griffin bowyer John McCullough made Shrews in the past, but wanted to know if the current Shrew bowyer has changed it.
Also, are there differences in the grips of two pc. vs. one piece?
I believe that the "new" shrews made by Greg coffee has a slightly redesigned grip.
ive shot new shrews, and a griffin and didnt notice any differance. i shot them exactly the same.
both are great bows, and i dont think you can go wrong by choosing one or the other!!

give me a shout Lon and you can try my shrew

I believe "very similar" would be the best description.
THe difference is that John's bows now have a 2 1/2 year wait time on new orders.
I only have 1 1/2 year to go!
I have a griffin, and to me, it seems like they are similar, but the shrew have an ever-so-slightly thinner grip.
I would agree with ishiwannabe.... my Griffin seems a tad thicker in the throat than my Shrew.

Ummmmmm, not really. Take a good look at the limb design, not the strung or unstrung profile, but the actual design. Take a good look at the fadeouts, and overall riser profile. Now take turns shooting arrows out of them.
It never ceases to amaze me how people think these are essentially the same bow. They are both reverse handle hybrids, and have a somewhat similar grip. That's where the similarities end. I had them hanging next to each other on the rack for a while, shot them plenty, and really regret not taking a picure of the side-by-side.
I stayed with the Griffin for many reasons, but they are both fine bows. The Griffin is just better for me. I will add that John McCullough is one heck of a guy. Most all these good bowyers are fantastic people, but John has gone above and beyond in ways that are really amazing.
and now, back to the question:

It is the most similar part of these two bows. I think the Griffin is just a little "fuller" in the hand.
I have a number of Both. They are very similar with the Griffin maybe a little bigger in the grip...but I also have some older Griffins that are smaller in the throat than the Shrew. They are both my absolute favorite bows. If you ever get a chance to pick up an older Griffin, you will see how they evolved. Both John & Gregg are superb craftsmen and real gentlemen...Doc
