Title: U-stuff bag targets
Post by: Todweelz on February 25, 2010, 06:51:00 PM
Anyone know where I can get a couple of the tukey bag targets that you fill with plastic wrap and such? 3-rivers used to have them, I did a search for turkey bag targets here and came up empty. They had them at the K-zoo expo range, thought it would be good to fill a couple and set them in the woods next to the house for a little extra practice, turkey season is coming up quick and I'm not to swell at hittin turkeys. Thanks, Todd

We have our Wisconsin Traditional Archers Banquet this weekend and I know that U-stuff It is signed up as a vendor. I'll try to grab some info for you.

I don't know where you can buy 'em, but I go to my local coffee roasting folks who always have a burlap sack or two I can take home... I just fill 'em up with plastic bags and such and then paint a target (deer, pig, etc.) with a little spray paint. Not the best paint jobs in the world but it works great and they sure do stop an arrow if you've packed them real TIGHT. Good luck!

Not so sure about the turkey in particular but Kustom Archery has a real nice u stuff it bag...
I go to Carpet stores and ask for the plastic off their carpet rolls, works great and one trip usually fills the bag! Just fyi

I buy 50 lb. feed sacks from the local feed and seed store (40 cents each).  You can draw any target you want on them with a permanent marker.  I have several hanging in the woods around my house.
