What spine XX75 arrow would you say I'd need for the following set-up... 64" Horne's Traditionalist longbow, 52# at my 28" draw, 29 1/4" arrow, 125 grain point with regular insert, (3) 5 inch feathers?
2016 or 2018?
What if I jumped up to a 160 grain head?
Thank you for any suggestions. I e-mailed Mark but he has not had a chance to get back to me yet. Just curious to hear some of your thoughts.
Thanks again, Tim
I have bows that draw 52# @ 28" (my draw) and I find 29" 2115 or 2018 aluminums (w/ 125 gr. points) fly well. They are similar in spine but the 2115 is lighter.
Give the Stu Calculator a try, do a search on Tradgang you should find it or Google for it
I shoot 2018's out of 45# to 60# bows with 145gn heads and everything else normal. that combo works well for me, I shoot full length arrows though and that 2.5 inches extra may be the difference.
I would have to go with the 2016's having you set up and shorter arrows, Start with 125gn tips and probably end up with 145 for better flight,
Again check out the calculator, Very good program that will get you close.

Thanks guys. I downloaded Stu's Calculator and the instruction page. I'm playing around with different BH and insert weights.
It looks like the 2018's would be my best option for shooting a range of BHs from 125 grain Stingers, 150 Grain Woodsmans and 160 grain Grizzlies.
Thanks again. I enjoy reading everyone's suggestions.
