I had better say, from Louisiana.
From the South groups in a bunch of people.
Only turkeys in Los Angeles aint got feathers...just sayin.

There is some pretty good turkey hunting on the state and federal refuges in the Northeastern part of the state. A fair number of people to deal w/ but if you go during the week later in the season i've heard it's not bad. All of the private land is locked up in hunting clubs. Espescially along the Miss. River. Also, there are a bunch of turkeys west of Baton Rouge in the Atchafalaya Basin. I've only hunted there once, though, and don't know if any public hunting is available. I hope this helps a little.
