I got to shoot one last summer. They are great bows The grip was bigger than on most of my bows but it fit great. The craftsmanship was top notch. The bow was smooth as well.

I have one and really like it.  Very smooth, fast and quiet.  The grip is bigger than most, but it fits my hand well.  I think Rick's limb design is very good -- there is very little handshock with his bows.

I have three of them...2 recurves and 1 longbow. I could not imagine buying anything else. The possible exception would be a cheap bow to bowfish with.

These bows are quick, very smooth and have no stack. Do yourself a favor and buy one.

They are TOPS, Rick custom makes the grip and they are smooth, fast and forgiving!  Prices are also super!  Con's....  I will never shoot mine like Rick shoots his.  :biglaugh:

Frank, the only thing you could do better than buy a Dakota bow would be to go down to Arkansas and have Rick custom fit it for you.  There are a lot of things about the bow that you might not think to specify or ask that Rick will notice if he sees you shoot.  I bought my bow from Rick while I was attending his shooting school, and as a result, everything about the bow was perfect out of the box.  All I had to do was string the bow and shoot it.  Nock point already tied on in the right place, arrows already bought, correct material on the side plate and shelf to make the arrows hit where I was looking.  No adjustments needed.

I own alot of bows. When I want to go kill something or win a big 3D shoot, I grab one of my 3 Dakotas. I call them the working man's bow. Great customer service as well. Don
