Considering a move to Dallas, TX. Was wondering if there are any archery ranges or shops that are Traditional friendly in the area? Headed down there in April on vacation and would like to check it out.
Thanks, Bill

JW I order all my stuff but I'm in Big D. There's a couple of good shops. Seems like mostly wheel bow stuff but there's tradgangers around. Best part is how close you are to great hunting in all directions from Dallas.
Bob Lee is about 2 hrs from us.
Mainly looking to find some places to shoot at.
Bill
Irving Bowhunters has memberships for about $100.00 a year but it has a 3D range and target butts on a nature trail, a broadhead target area, Mostly wheel shooters but a a really good place
Texins Archery is great! Then you can shoot with me. I'm trad friendly :)

CowTown Bowman in Ft. Worth and Texas Longbow Assn also in Ft. Worth are both great ranges.
We are 30 west of Ft. Worth.
Mike
Collin County Bowhunters, about 45 minutes north of Big D.
Thanks!!! I really appreciate it.

All Star Marine and Archery in Dallas has a 30 yard indoor range. All wheelie stuff there though. Outdoor Pro Shop in Garland (N.E. suburb) Has a indoor range and carries trad stuff. Outdoor ranges include Mesquite Archery, Texans Archery, Collin County, Denton county and Irving Bowhunters. All have a regular range and 3D courses.
Bill, as you can see, we got a decent number of places to shoot traditional in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Shoot, with your interests of bowunting, fishing and football, you're half way to being a Texan already!
If you want to contact me : Gandgolf: Denton CO. Archer!! Click on My Avatar.. I'll Help you in ANY way I can.. Give Me a call!! We'll Get you acclimatized to Texian!!! ( I LOVE IT WHEN THE YANKEE'S FEEL THE HEAT !!!) :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
If I deceide to move it would be either to Lantana or Las Colinas. Which would be the closest ranges to those areas??
Thanks Again, Bill
Irving Bowhunters would probably be closest but when I was a member, it leaned more towards compound shooters, I lived in Irving at the time and joined just to have a close place to shoot.
If I still lived there, I would join IBA and Denton county because it's trad only club and not a lot further.
Take a look at DentonCountyArchers.com. We are a trad. club with modern shooting members. Other clubs are compound clubs with trad shooting members.
Thanks again guys!!! Alot of places to checkout.
