Nice job

Has anyone shooting the spiral type flu flu had good arrow flight? Every time I try one they do not fly well. They definitely slow the arrow fast though.

George:  Might your date be a typo?  I was paging through some of my old mags last night and found the same story.  Same text, same pix, same order, same layout on the page. etc.  It's in my March-April 1966 Bow & Arrow magazine.  There's a picture of female archer Jimmie Davis on the cover. Maybe they just recycled them every five years or so.

So Jerry are you saying Disco may not be dead?

I wore a purple shirt to work the other day that has the sheen of the old polyester shirts from the 70's, you remember them.  A guy that is 35 made the comment that Disco is dead.  All of the guys my age (50+) said the shirt looked good to them and where did I get it!  They were impressed.

Good post George.  Fun to look at the old articles and see how the more things change the more they really are the same.

Good eye Orion, I had two mags side by side and looked at the wrong one for the date.  It was indeed March/April 1966.  I'll change the original post as well.  Thanks partner.
P.S.....Here is the cover with Jimmie Davis at full draw.

LA.  Aaaah, Polyester.  Stuff may have gotten a little shiny, but you couldn't wear it out.  Did hold in the BO a bit as I remember, but we tended to be a little more natural back then anyway.

George:  Yep.  That's the one.  I hadn't looked at that mag in more than 20 years.  Was cleaning out my basement last night and throwing out a lot of old hunting mags and came across it so I sat down and read it.  That's why it was fresh in my mind when you posted.

I'm about half through the stacks.  Maybe I'll find some more of my old archery mags.  Those I'm not chucking.  The Field and Stream, Outdoor Life and Sports Afield are going though.
